Casa de la Cultura (culturaomaha.org) will host its Mi Casa es su Casa cultural networking event honoring 105 years of Mexican festivals in Omaha.
In the past, Mi Casa es su Casa has collaborated with beloved local establishments like Victor’s Mexican Restaurante 2 and Supermercado Nuestra Familia. This event, Casa de la Cultura, will patronize South Omaha’s Isla del Mar Restaurant, a family-owned gem at 5101 S. 36th St., on Thursday, March 6, from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
The networking event blends business with culture with door prizes, a complimentary drink, delicious appetizers handpicked from Isla del Mar’s seafood menu and music provided by Alexis y sus Caballeros Mariachi.
Tickets are $25. Students can attend for free using the coupon code STUDENT24. This event is proudly sponsored by the Latino Economic Development Council of Omaha and the Barrientos Scholarship Foundation.
