The Nebraska Chapter of the American Society for Training & Development, Inc. (ASTD Nebraska) is pleased to present the June 2014 programming event, which will take place on Wednesday, June 11 from 5-6:30 pm. This program will provide members and guests with professional development opportunities in regard to Instructional Design and Training Delivery CORE Competencies.

Christine Hitchcock, Training Development Manager at West Corporation, and Jonathan Titus, Continuing Education Director at Bellevue University, will present a fun and engaging program about the principles of pedagogy.  As adult learning professionals, it can be easy to underestimate some of the important principles and research regarding pedagogy. When we narrow our focus so intently on how we can best impact our adult learners, it is easy to lose the forest for the trees. We encourage you to join us for the June program to step back and take a refreshing look at learning from a child’s perspective.

The price for members is $20 until Thursday, June 5; $25 until Tuesday, June 10; $35 day of program. Non-member price is $35.

ASTD Nebraska has over 300 members representing over 100 companies in the Omaha metro area. Networking and programs are held on a monthly basis.
