Volunteers and friends of the American Heart Association will get to the “HeART of the Matter” at the 24th annual Omaha Heart Ball presented by The Nebraska Medical Center on Feb. 4.

During the art-themed evening, more than 650 patrons will enjoy a cocktail party, mini-live and live auctions, dinner, and entertainment by On The Fritz at the Embassy Suites, La Vista. The Omaha Heart Ball program includes the moving story of 2012 Omaha Heart Ball Princess Emily Karmazin, age 7, and an update on 2011 Heart Ball Princess Hannah Hetherington who received a new heart shortly following last year’s Heart Ball. The 2012 American Heart Association Sweetheart class will also be formally presented during the program.

Honorary Chairs Bruce and Stacy Simon and Chairs Stephen and Anne Bruckner, along with their executive leadership team, have a goal of raising $500,000 in support of American Heart Association research and educational programs through the annual, black-tie event.
