Ten of Midlands Community Foundation’s (www.midlandfoundation.org) charitable funds recently awarded scholarships to area students and professionals. They are:

The Alex Shives Memorial Scholarship went to Brenden Fisher—The Bob Mohr Baseball Scholarship went to Isaac Pamaran—The Chris Stauffer Scholarship went
to Alexa Smith—The Dale & Estelle Black Scholarship went to Jennifer Breitwieser, Piper Bewley, Rachel Needles, Hope Barger, Claire Busch, and Kimber Engel—The GHS Class of 1968 Memorial Scholarship went to Maddie Burns—The John J. and Doris M. Buford Legacy Scholarship went to Grace Jansen and Kinsley McMahon—The Kaiti Williams Memorial Scholarship went to Kinsley Stover—The Max and Jane Meier Family Scholarship went to Kayla Urzendowski—The Papillion Softball Woolhiser Memorial Scholarship went to Amy White and Ava Steadman—The Sarpy County Bar Association Scholarship went to McKinsey Lathrop and Mallory Blecher.

In addition, the Elmwood Community Foundation and Gretna Community Foundation charitable funds awarded scholarships. The GCF Scholarships are:

The Addisyn Pfeifer Scholarship went to Holden Dodson, Kinsley McMahon, Chloe Jorgensen, and Maddie Schaffert—The Bob and Vicki Andersen Scholarship went to Charles Meis—The Gretna Chamber of Commerce Scholarship went to Gavin Luthi and Melissa VanOeveren.

The Elmwood Murdock Education Foundation Scholarship went to Rose Offner—The Carolyn Pointer Memorial Scholarship went to Averi Hogue— The Eggert, Synovec, and Washington Memorial Scholarship went to Morgan Gray—The Elmer and Marietta Vogt Scholarship went to Nolan Story and Harrison Koehn—The Margaret Hall Memorial Scholarship went to Charley Hane —The Mark Mortensen Memorial Scholarship went to Abrahm Jones—The Maxine Cline Scholarship went to Nolan Story and Macy Howard—The Willard and Lillian Hall Scholarship went to Isabelle Halferty—The Euclid Masonic Lodge Scholarship went to Averi Hogue and Grace Jacobson—The Joel Furgerson Memorial Scholarship went to Kayden Bacon—The John Bruns Memorial Scholarship went to Rowan Kastens—The Dr. Melvin Luetchens Human Services Scholarship went to Emily Drake—The Steve Backemeyer Memorial Scholarship went to Macy Howard. Scholarship Funds can be established at MCF to help local students pursue their education and career goals. These funds allow donors to give back to the community while also receiving tax benefits.
