MBA’s Ribstock Committee Presents Checks to 2 Local Nonprofits

The Millard Business Association’s (MBA, www.MillardBusinessAssociation.org) Ribstock Committee recently presented a $5,000 check to Project Wee Care to help them continue their mission of serving local families with needed food and other items. The MBA would like to extend their gratitude to all who participated or volunteered in Ribstock 2021 and helped raise money.

There are now 473 first time families participating in Project Wee Care. This breaks down to 1,155 kids and 627 adults. $130,000 is needed to support these families. Due to COVID, MBA is not having Distribution Day, and is opting instead to give families retail vouchers. Families will receive a $75 Kohl’s gift card per child and a $100-$150 Hy-Vee gift card per family. To donate, please visit millardbcf.org/what_you_can_do/sponsor.html.

In addition to the funds presented to Project Wee Care, the Ribstock Committee was also proud to deliver $10,000 to Food Bank for the Heartland. The need for food assistance continues to grow and the local support of Ribstock allows MBA to carry on their support for this nonprofit.
