Community Foundation for Western Iowa (givewesterniowa.org) has opened the application for the current cycle of Community Impact Grants. Community Grants are available to organizations whose innovative and meaningful work aligns with the Community Foundation for Western Iowa’s mission to improve the lives of all county residents. Grant awards range from $500 to $5,000.

Any tax-exempt, nonprofit organization, governmental entity or church using the funds for charitable purposes and proposing a project meeting the Community Foundation’s mission to improve the lives of all residents of Pottawattamie County is eligible to apply. Applications close on March 31.

Grant applications are reviewed by staff and an independent panel of reviewers from across the county. The Board of Directors makes all final funding decisions and awards are announced in late May.

Applications can now be submitted electronically. Please go to givewesterniowa.org to learn about the Community Foundation’s Online Grants Center and to begin the application process.
