The Nebraska Departments of Education, Economic Development and Labor have produced a series of videos that provide a virtual tour of some of Nebraska’s largest and most innovative employers. The videos are aimed at engaging youth while informing them of the skills and education needed to prosper in these careers in the Nebraska economy.
Featured employers represent fields in Nebraska’s Career Education Industry Clusters model whose growth translates to employment opportunities for both the current and future workforce. The first three videos feature information technology (MACC, hudl and Yahoo!); manufacturing (BD, MetalQuest, Chief); and transportation, distribution and logistics (Werner Enterprises, Brown Transfer, Cash-Wa). The video tours include employees and managers discussing work environment, salary, education requirements and career advancement opportunities.
