UNICO Group and the Tara Plaza Association recently announced “Celebration! Party at the Plaza”, an event celebrating Tara Plaza’s 45th Birthday and La Mesa’s 20th Anniversary, that will be held on Saturday, August 24th at 829 Tara Plaza in Papillion. The celebration will feature family fun events and a carnival from noon until 3 p.m., and will also include live music from Grand Theft Girlfriend from 6 p.m. until midnight. Along with the party, the event will raise money to support children with diabetes. Proceeds from the event will serve children in Nebraska and southwest Iowa by creating scholarships to help send kids with diabetes to Camp Hot Shots and Camp Floyd Rogers. These camps provide children living with diabetes another opportunity to learn how to manage it so they will live a healthy life as we continue to search for the cure. Donations for the event, including items for the silent auction, are still needed and would be greatly appreciated.
