Sarpy Chamber (sarpychamber.org) Leadership Sarpy Class of 25/26 open for applications and the deadline is Friday, May 16.

During the 9-month course you will take a tour with the mayors through all 5 cities of Sarpy County, visit Offutt AFB, tour the State Capitol, have lunch with the Sarpy County State Senators and much more!

New Class orientation is July 15. 2-day class retreat is August 25 and 26 with classes beginning the second Tuesday of September and going one day each month through May.

In addition, participants are assigned to smaller teams and tasked with a “Legacy Project”. These are community initiatives that allow you to directly apply your new skills and knowledge to a project that will leave a lasting, positive impact on Sarpy County. Each group develops, researches and implements their projects. Connections form and people join together for their cause. The Legacy Projects are a special part of the Leadership Sarpy Program.

Leadership Sarpy’s mission is to develop leaders who will actively engage in strengthening Sarpy County and promote its well-being. We have 3 main objectives:

  • Challenge: To stimulate your thinking personally, professionally and about Sarpy County
  • Learn: To be informed and acquire new perspectives about leadership and our community
  • Lead: To inspire and initiate performance, collaboration, and change within Sarpy County

Leadership Sarpy’s vision is for leaders to become engaged in Sarpy County through interactive sessions that give exposure to the key challenges and opportunities of the county. With each class you will be given insight to the economic development, quality of life, local and state government and community awareness. Each session encourages and inspires participants to reflect upon and develop their leadership potential in Sarpy County. Participants will establish long-lasting relationships and become committed to enhancing the future of Sarpy County.
