Denver-based The Egg & I Restaurants announces the opening of its 50th location on Monday, December 12. The restaurant opened at 6 a.m. in Omaha at 2855 S. 168th St. on the southwest corner of West Center Road in the Armbrust Village Shopping Center.
On December 11 the restaurant donated 100% of all proceeds from its private, pre-opening training day to The Food Bank for the Heartland. The mission of The Food Bank for the Heartland is to eliminate hunger in Nebraska and western Iowa through community collaboration and making the best possible use of available resources.

The Egg & I Restaurants, headquartered in Lone Tree, CO, opened its first restaurant in Ft. Collins, CO in 1987. With Omaha’s opening there will be 50 company and franchise restaurants operating in 10 states throughout the U.S. The Egg & I Restaurants are casual, full-service, breakfast and lunch restaurants open Monday-Friday from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. (2:30 p.m. on weekends).
