Rooted Synergy Gallery Celebrates Grand Opening with Ribbon Cutting
On May 20, Rooted Synergy Gallery (www.rootedsynergygallery.com) celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted in conjunction with the Greater Omaha Chamber. It was a great success with an amazing turnout of community members, including representatives from OEDCOmaha, Empowerment Network, North 24th Street BID, State of Nebraska Economic Development, and Revive Center Omaha. Rooted Synergy would also like to thank Taste of Heaven Mobile Restaurant for catering the event and the featured artists of the evening: Michaela Bradley (Digital Illustration), Angie Coleman (Oil Painting), Ramon Guzman (Wood Sculpture), Carolyn Moore (Abstract Drawing & Watercolor Prints), Lauren Scheele (Ceramic Sculpture), Rachael Sikes (Acrylic Painting & Pencil Drawing), Heather Tomasello (Acrylic Painting) and Co-Founders, Michael Young (Photography) and Amanda Sirian (Acrylic Painting).
Rooted Synergy Gallery, located in the Fair Deal Village at 2118 N 24th St., is a physical and virtual black-owned gallery that aims to represent a diverse group of artists. The mission of Rooted Synergy Gallery is, “growing roots in the community…together, through art” by providing a platform for local artists to tell their stories and sell their work.
Each time a piece is sold through Rooted Synergy Gallery, a portion of the proceeds is donated by the gallery and put back into a community initiative in need of support. It is a way of bringing people together who share a love of art, community, and giving back to those who need it most.
Rooted Synergy Gallery has since been featured on Good Morning America and has pieces from new artists now posted on their website.
