Publisher to Address Adaption, Disruption at Chamber’s Annual Economic Outlook

In an era of influencers, futurist and Forbes publisher, Rich Karlgaard is slated to give the keynote address at the Greater Omaha Chamber’s (www.omahachamber.org/eol) annual Economic Outlook Luncheon on November 13. Karlgaard will be casting his economic eye on Omaha.

Nearly 800 CEOs and senior executives, many of whom are already driving the region’s competitive mission, are expected to attend the event, which will be held at Embassy Suites Omaha, La Vista.

Considered one of the most influential figures in business and economics, Karlgaard will provide insight on adapting in an era of technological and political disruption. The results of the region’s annual Economic Outlook Survey will also be released at the event.

“The annual Economic Outlook Survey provides a framework for driving business development, talent acquisition and collaborative growth in areas that propel our collective future and favorably shape the region,” said David G. Brown, president and CEO, Greater Omaha Chamber.

Last year’s survey results indicated nearly half of all CEOs expected their organizations to “grow faster than the national pace in 2018.”

Cost to attend this year’s luncheon is $70 per member or $85 for nonmembers. Tables of 10 are $700 for members and $850 for nonmembers. Reservations are due Tuesday, November 6 through www.omahachamber.org/eol.

Event sponsors include ACCESSbank, Baird Holm LLP, D.A. Davidson & Co., Deloitte LLP, Lamp Rynearson, and media sponsor KETV.
