The Port at Iowa Western Community College is proud to welcome Startup Grind to Council Bluffs. Startup Grind is an event dedicated to educating, inspiring and connecting entrepreneurs by inviting in local business owners to share their entrepreneurial adventures in an open forum setting. Attendees learn the intimate details of an entrepreneur’s business experience while having the opportunity to network with other entrepreneurial attendees and featured guest speakers.
The inaugural event was held at Iowa Western Community College campus on August 19th featuring Nick Mauer and Josh Powell, Co-Founders of MTRL Design. Located in the Mastercraft building of North Downtown Omaha, MTRL Design is a unique laser cutting and design firm that describe themselves as “an environmentally-responsible creative solutions solving fixing building prototyping branding conceptualizing micro-manufacturing agency firm company business store, with a giant laser” according to their website at www.mtrldesign.com.
