Omaha Business Excellence Awards Recognize 22 Area Organizations

The Greater Omaha Chamber (www.omahachamber.org) recently announced the 2019 Business Excellence Award winners, an annual tradition recognizing regional organizations in each of these three categories: Leadership, Innovation, and Philanthropy. Nearly 90 organizations competed for the recognition, with 22 unique businesses selected following a nomination and juried review.

The winners of a Business Excellence Award are: Abide; Anytime Tees; The Bike Union and Coffee; Don & Ron’s CARSTAR Auto Body Repair, Inc.; E & A Consulting Group, Inc.; First National Bank; Gallup; The Harry A. Koch Co.; Home Instead Senior Care; Latino Center of the Midlands; LEO A DALY; Lindsay Corporation; Makovicka Physical Therapy; Metropolitan Community College; NMC Group, Inc.; Physicians Mutual; Pinnacle Bank; Project Harmony Child Advocacy Center; Quantum Workplace; Revela; RTG Medical; and Signature Performance. The 2018 Small Business of the Year is: Peitzmeier Demolition and Concrete Cutting, Inc.

Winners will be recognized at a public awards celebration on Thursday, May 16, 4–6 p.m., at the Omaha Design Center. At the event, milestone recognition will also be given to businesses celebrating an anniversary of 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, or 150 years in business. This year’s 150-year-old organization is the University of Nebraska. Sponsors include Premier Bank (Small Business Awards Sponsor) and Southwest Airlines (Official Airline Sponsor).
