Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative Opens New Office and Training Facility

The Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative (NECC) (nebraskaearly.org) has officially opened its new office and state-of-the-art training facility as the latest addition to the North Omaha Highlander neighborhood. From its new headquarters, NECC will focus on elevating the business of high quality child care in the Omaha area and across Nebraska.

The new construction located at 3200 N 30th St. is separated into two distinct spaces, both dedicated to high quality early learning and education. The first floor is home to the Omaha Early Learning Center at Kennedy and four Omaha Public Schools preschool classrooms. The second floor houses the office of the NECC.

NECC is proud to provide an array of business services to child care providers, including a new business resource center designed specifically for child care providers to access low and no-cost business resources alongside professional development opportunities in a state-of-the-art 5,000-square-foot training center. The training center will offer opportunities for community-based child care providers in Omaha, Omaha Public Schools, and other partner agencies across the state and nation.

President and CEO, Shannon Cotsoradis, looks forward to the opportunities the new building brings to the Collaborative’s work. “Guided by a vision to transform the business of child care, we are thrilled to welcome the community inside our new space and further our mission of elevating the business of child care. There is no higher return on investment than in a child’s earliest years,” said Cotsoradis.
