NAMI Omaha Announces February Public Educational Meeting

NAMI Omaha’s (namiomaha.org) next Mental Health NAMI Affiliate meeting will be held on Thursday, February 7 from 6–8 p.m. This meeting is free and open to the public. Brad Meurrens, public policy director for Disability Rights Nebraska, will discuss the mental health bills before the Nebraska Legislature in 2019 and how to affect change in mental health in Nebraska.11

These meetings take place the first Thursday of each month at First United Methodist Church, located at 7020 Cass St. in Omaha. Parking is available on the east and north side of the church. Enter through doors 4 or 6 and proceed to room 112.

NAMI Omaha is a non-profit organization composed of consumers, family members, professionals, and friends who have come together to share and take comfort in the commonality of their experiences and to educate members of their communities about serious brain disorders.

Along with education/literature, support, workshops, conferences, and more. NAMI Omaha actively advocates at the local, state, and national levels to improve the services and the lives of those affected by mental illness and their families.
