The Millard Business Association (MBA, millardbusinessassociation.org) will host a Lunch & Learn on Tuesday, October 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Centris Federal Credit Union, 13120 Pierce St. The lunch will feature guest speaker Scott LeRette, author of The Unbreakable Boy.
The Unbreakable Boy is a true story about Scott and his son, Austin. Austin was born with both a rare brittle-bone disease and autism, but he doesn’t let his health challenges get in the way of leading a joyous life filled with laughter and positivity. The story goes beyond Scott’s experience as a father, however. It touches on addiction, pain, and faith in a way that will impact readers and inspire people everywhere.
“People want and need good, real, and meaningful stories,” said Scott. “Our story, I hope, is a story for the masses…one that will make you think, cry, laugh, hurt, and love all at the same time.”
The Millard Business Association was established in 2003 and comprises of more than 200 area business members.
