Midwest Ventures Brings Excitement to Growing Capitol District with 3 Unique Venues

Midwest Ventures is an ownership group made up by Tom Baldwin, Ted Hawley, Tommy Bomstad, Rodney Bell, and Joe Wells. Ted, Tommy, Rodney, and Joe started their first bar out of college about 10 years ago in Des Moines, IA. Since then, they have created new venue concepts and expanded into other markets. A couple years ago, the group partnered with Tom to help them break into the Omaha market. Tom owns other bars and restaurants, including the Original Draught House in Omaha.

With the continued growth of The Capitol District (capitoldistrictomaha.com), Midwest Ventures decided it was the perfect location to establish three unique venues: Annie’s Irish Pub, Beer Can Alley, and The Exchange. With the official opening date of St. Patrick’s Day 2018, each bar brings a different type of vibe to the area. Annie’s Irish Pub embraces an open-air concept with patio seating, making it an ideal spot to sit outside and enjoy a few drinks. Beer Can Alley is a country music venue featuring past and present country music queued up by one of their DJ’s or performed live by bands brought in from Nashville. The Exchange is a wall street-themed nightclub that offers bottle service and drink prices that are constantly fluctuating based on a dynamic pricing structure. This works by factoring in the supply and demand on drinks at any given moment, similar to the New York Stock Exchange. Patrons are able to see the prices change on the bar’s large digital stock ticker displays so they know what drinks to buy.

Annie’s Irish Pub, Beer Can Alley, and The Exchange add to the overall urban renewal that is being initiated in downtown Omaha, and each venue is available for partial or private event rental. To inquire about party rentals, contact Joe Wells at (402) 504-4290 / joe.wells@alphaventuresllc.biz. Midwest Ventures has plans to continue expanding these concepts into more markets.
