Magic Johnson to Speak for Empowerment Network’s 15th Anniversary on May 20

Legendary on the court AND in the boardroom, Earvin “Magic” Johnson is bringing his expertise, insights, and magic to Omaha to celebrate the Empowerment Network’s (www.empoweromaha.com) 15th Anniversary at the Rebuilding the Village Conference, held in conjunction with the Revive Black Business Expo. The conference will be held from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Friday, May 20 at the CHI Health Center Omaha. Rebuilding the Village will bring together local, regional, and national experts. Magic’s keynote presentation will take place during the luncheon at 11:30 a.m. along with insightful and educational morning and afternoon breakout sessions.

This conference focuses on the place-based, collaborative strategies that have been the undercurrent to some of the significant progress Omaha has been able to see over the last decade-and-a-half. Cities from across the country will be bringing delegations to get the insights needed to accelerate transformation in their backyards. Additional speakers include Suzan Hart, known for her breakthrough strategies that help entrepreneurs, leaders, and businesses; and Anna Barber, president and principal consultant for Barber & Associates, a boutique fundraising consulting firm focused on helping nonprofit organizations achieve their full fundraising potential through donor development.
