Kindred Center For Independence (Kindred CFI), founded in May 2022, a Nebraska disability services provider for children and young adults with IDD and behavioral health. Kindred CFI became a certified provider in November 2024 and is currently serving more than 15 participants. The agency becomes the first in the state of Nebraska to offer Youth Residential group homes and specialize in Child Day Habilitation, Community Integration Services and Youth and Adult Residential Group Homes.

Gildas Agbassou, a Neuroscience Graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, and experienced human services professional with over 12 years of progressive experience supporting individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) opened Kindred CFI in 2022.

Mr. Agbassou brings a service-oriented leadership approach grounded in operational accountability, staff development and quality outcomes. His diverse experiences have shaped his vision to approach service delivery differently, prioritizing empowerment over hierarchy. His mission is not to “be anyone’s boss”, but to serve, support and uplift both participants and staff.
