Just Good Meat is proud to have sponsored and hosted its 26th annual golf tournament on September 11th at Shoreline Golf Course in Carter Lake, IA. The day-long event included time spent on the driving range and practice green, 18 holes of golf in a 4 Person Best Ball Scramble Format, along with lunch and refreshments on-site and was followed by a steak dinner catered by Just Good Meat and an awards ceremony with team prizes, pin prizes and a raffle drawing.
All proceeds from the event, held in honor of Hank Hilger, will go to the Siena/Francis House Homeless Shelter, the region’s largest facility providing food, shelter, clothing and hope to homeless men, women and children. The mission extends beyond merely answering physical needs to the acceptance and affirmation of the human person, the creation of an atmosphere of hospitality, and the provision of purpose and meaning in the lives of people who struggle for survival. Just Good Meat has supported the work of the Siena/Francis House for over 30 years.
