Immanuel Named One of Nebraska’s Safest Companies by National Safety Council

Immanuel (www.immanuel.com), a leader in Nebraska for retirement living solutions for seniors, recently received a “Nebraska’s Safest Companies” award from the National Safety Council. The Safest Companies awards were established to celebrate those companies with commendable safety programs and better than national average safety records throughout the state. This past year, Immanuel’s safety program underwent big changes. A new automated recurring work order system helped provide real-time reports and simplified processes for safety supplies and procedures across the organization’s 14 retirement living communities and three PACE® (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) centers. Additionally, several of the environmental service managers underwent 30 hours of OSHA training.

Since 1887, Immanuel has been providing Christ-centered service to seniors, each other, and the community. As a not-for-profit, serving arm of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America), Immanuel’s house of brands includes: Immanuel Communities, Immanuel Pathways, Immanuel Community Foundation, and The Immanuel Vision Foundation. Immanuel Communities also owns and operates 14 independent living, assisted living, and long-term care retirement communities on eight campuses. Immanuel Pathways operates three PACE® centers in Iowa and Nebraska. The Immanuel Community Foundation, a Resident Assistance Fund, provides financial assistance to independent living residents, and the Immanuel Vision Foundation extends financial support to nonprofit, charitable 501(c)(3) organizations that share purposes in alignment with Immanuel’s service centered mission.
