The Grounds Guys of SW Omaha is excited to announce that two of its team members recently completed the Pesticide Safety Education Program, undergoing the process of training and testing to become licensed in commercial pesticide application reflecting additional certifications in two specialized areas. The Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP) at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in concert with Extension Specialists, Extension Educators, and Extension Assistants provides educational and training programs that address health, the environment, economic well-being, and pesticide safety. Brandy Prettyman, owner of The Grounds Guys of SW Omaha, received her Right of Way Pest Control license and Jason Mahlberg, Operations Manager, received his Ornamental and Turf Pest Control license. Certification in these areas indicates that The Grounds Guys of SW Omaha have received the proper training to utilize restricted-use pesticide applications in following the safety rules and regulations in the state of Nebraska set by the Department of Agriculture.
