Greater Omaha Chamber Welcomes The Community Supports Network

On March 5, The Community Supports Network, Inc (CSN) (thecsnetwork.com) hosted a ribbon cutting, conducted in partnership with the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, to celebrate the merger of Developmental Services of Nebraska, Developmental Services of Iowa, Inc., and Community Supports, Inc. to form CSN. CSN will boast over 500 employees across seven cities, in the Midwest, providing the full continuum of support for community members with intellectual disabilities and/or behavioral health needs. This combined support network will allow resources to be shared collaboratively in ways that were not previously possible prior to the merger.

CSN will also serve as an acronym for three core aspects of their mission:

  • Community: representing their commitment to supporting and advocating for the people receiving services to ensure each individual’s right to live, work, and recreate in the community of his or her choice.
  • Supports: reflecting their commitment to partnering with people to help each individual to live a deep, meaningful life.
  • Network: recognizing how the organization will now be able to combine a network of providers to better serve everyone across multiple states.

What has always been a family of organizations will now be coming together to create a stronger network of providers that will allow increased access to more resources spread across a single organization.
