Early Learning Center at Gateway, an Educare of Omaha, Inc. (educareomaha.org) school, has been recognized by Nebraska Step Up to Quality for its commitment to excellence in early childhood education, earning Step 5, the highest possible rating.
Step Up to Quality is Nebraska’s Quality Rating and Improvement System, which recognizes early childhood programs that meet rigorous standards in areas such as program administration, child outcomes, professional development and training, family engagement and partnerships and curriculum and learning environments. Only 6 percent of current Step Up to Quality participants have earned Step 5, a level that represents the gold standard in early care and education.
“We are incredibly proud of the Gateway team,” School Director Diana Svehla said. “This recognition reflects the passion and commitment our staff brings every day to support children and families. It’s satisfying to see all the hard work pay off, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this possible.”
With 90 percent of brain development occurring before age 5, quality early education plays a critical role in preparing children for lifelong success. Educare of Omaha, Inc. remains committed to delivering the highest level of care and learning experiences at all its locations.
