Business Ethics Alliance Offers Governing Board Ethics Training Series

The Business Ethics Alliance® (www.businessethicsalliance.org) has a solution for governing boards that want to infuse ethics conversations into their regular meetings. Governing boards, both corporate and non-profit, are tasked with upholding the highest standards of integrity for the organizations they serve. Training on ethics, however, isn’t something that often occurs during regular board operations.

The Governing Board Ethics series includes six modules that can be purchased as a set or individually to empower boards to discuss ethics candidly and understand the ethical implications of their duties. The conflict of interest module helps participants consider actual, potential, and perceived conflicts from an ethical perspective. Other topics in the series include accountability, groupthink, confidentially, executive compensation, and respectful communication. Each module is designed to encourage open dialogue and help board members see the common ethical pitfalls encountered in the course of governance. The series is also excellent internal training for companies that encourage employees to serve on governing boards. More information about the Governing Board Ethics series and other ethics training products can be found on the Alliance website at businessethicsalliance.org/board-ethics.

In partnership with the Omaha business community, the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau, and Creighton University Heider College of Business, the Business Ethics Alliance® is a one-of-a-kind non-profit dedicated to city-level business ethics education.
