The Nebraska Chapter of the American Society for Training & Development, Inc. (ASTD Nebraska) is pleased to present the August 2014 programming event, to be held on Wednesday, August 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This program, presented by Barbara Weathers, M.A., will provide members and guests with professional development opportunities in regard to Interpersonal Skills and Instructional Design CORE Competencies.
Today’s workforce is made up of staff and leaders from four different generational cohorts. Generational diversity – including workforce differences in attitudes, beliefs, work habits, and expectations – has proven challenging for leaders. With 78 million Millennials (Generation Y) entering the workforce and almost 80 million Baby Boomers approaching retirement, the need to work toward unifying a diverse workforce has become even more important. By the end of this program, participants will be able to recognize what motivates the Millennial generation, relate to how they think and learn, and interpret what they expect.
Millennials are the next generation workforce (78 million strong). With them they bring different beliefs, values, and technology expectations. They also bring energy, hope, passion, and intelligence that can take your organization to the next level of success.
Program: Members $20 until Thursday, August 7; $25 until Tuesday, August 12; $35 day of program. Non-Member price $35.
