ALA Nebraska Chapter Expands Legal Programming and Partnerships

In an effort to engage the broader legal network, the Nebraska Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALANE; naola.wildapricot.org) is expanding its programming and partnering with a number of local legal associations, service providers, and vendors.

These legal management professionals will start the year off with a Records Management Case Study jointly sponsored by the Omaha Bar Association, RIC, and Avalon. Records Management looks at both electronic and paper formats of important information that requires ongoing maintenance, whether it be for evidentiary or specific business purposes. The case study will address Records Management processes and issues faced by a variety of clients in different industries and organizations.

ALANE’s additional topics for education and engagement in 2020 will include worksite wellness, a workplace violence/active shooter training with the Nebraska Paralegal Association (NePA) and the Nebraska Safety Council, sexual harassment and the #MeToo movement, and other general roundtable topics.

The Nebraska Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators currently has over 30 members representing more than 20 Nebraska law firms and corporate legal departments. Their members are the decision-makers and managers within their firms and corporations. The membership window for 2020 is open with exciting benefits for joining in the month of January!
