Venture Community Capital (VCC), LLC is pleased to announce the renovation and transformation of 2027 Dodge Street into Connec+ (letsconnect.work), a collaborative office space, with a 20,000-square-foot fitness center, Bloc Fitness, set to open in early 2025.

VCC restored 2027 Dodge Street to its former glory. The building has now been fully renovated into Connec+, a collaborative office space with floors one through five offering flexible private office spaces. These spaces feature bright offices, modern-themed amenities, meeting rooms and classrooms designed for productivity and collaboration.

The bottom two floors of the building are currently undergoing significant renovations to become Bloc Fitness. This premium fitness center, set to open in early 2025, will offer downtown Omaha residents and professionals the opportunity to seamlessly integrate work and wellness into their daily lives.

“With Bloc Fitness in the same building as Connec+, our members enjoy unmatched convenience,” said David Lutz, Managing Director at VCC. “Imagine stepping out of a productive meeting and walking downstairs to rejuvenate in a cutting-edge fitness center. This is more than just a building—it’s a community designed to help people thrive.”

Since its construction, the building has served as headquarters for many companies, while the basement has consistently been used as a fitness center. Major renovations in 1988 introduced a grand foyer with marble floors, a glass roof, a trading floor and a ballroom, now known as the Leo Ballroom. The Leo Ballroom remains a popular event venue, preserving the building’s historic charm.
“VCC is proud to honor the rich history of 2027 Dodge Street while reimagining its future,” said Lutz. “With Connec+ and Bloc Fitness, we are creating a unique hub for innovation, collaboration and wellness in the heart of Omaha.”
