On Friday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the UNO Center will host the Boots to Business | Reboot program with the Veterans Business Outreach Center (nebbiz.org/vboc), a one-day hybrid workshop designed to introduce veterans, transitioning service members, National Guard, Reservists, and military spouses to the fundamentals of business ownership and self-employment. Even though this class is focused on veterans, it is open to anyone!

Held at the UNO Community Engagement Center, Room 127 (6203 S. University Dr.), this engaging course provides the knowledge and resources needed to evaluate business ideas and develop a strong business plan.

Participants will explore core topics such as:

  • Business ownership fundamentals
  • Market research and identifying target audiences
  • Startup financing
  • Business planning and legal considerations
  • Navigating local and federal resources

Whether you’re just starting to think about entrepreneurship or ready to launch your business, this workshop will equip you with the tools to succeed.

The event is free and open to all military-connected individuals. Attend in person or virtually.
