Omaha Police Foundation Officer of the Year Luncheon

The Omaha Police Foundation (www.OmahaPoliceFoundation.org) will present its 19th annual Officer of the Year Luncheon on Thursday, April 25, at 11:30 a.m. at the Scott Conference Center, 6450 Pine St. Forty-eight Omaha Police Department officers, one non-sworn personnel and the Patrol Rifle Instructor Unit will be recognized for their outstanding work in the prior year. The 2018 Officer of the Year will be chosen from among the honorees. The Patrol Rifle Instructor Unit will receive the Foundation’s Community Impact Award. Former Congressman and Omaha Mayor Hal Daub is chairing this year’s awards luncheon.
The public is invited to attend the Luncheon, which will also feature an outdoor exhibit of various law enforcement units and vehicles including the Mobile Crime Lab and the Mobile Command and Communications Center, which is the newest piece of equipment purchased by the Foundation for the Department. Inside the venue, guests can also view displays on crime prevention, neighborhood watch and Explorer Post 591, which is sponsored by OPD’s Crime Prevention Unit.
Individual tickets are $75. Tables of 10 can be reserved for $750 or Patron Tables of 10 for $1,500. Two chairs at each table may be donated to seat an honored officer and his or her guest.
