In honor of National Recovery Month, Santa Monica House invites you to join them on the Iowa side of the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge on Saturday, September 10 for Hands Across the Bridge for Recovery. Hands Across the Bridge for Recovery is an annual event held by Prevention Means Progress in which supporters come together to reach a goal of 1,000 hands to send an important message: prevention works, treatment is effective, and people do recover! Hands Across the Bridge will start at 10 a.m.

After a short but moving testimonial about how recovery is possible for everyone, supporters will join hands across the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge in hopes to span the entire bridge. The event will also include a DJ, coffee and cookies, resources, and a swag bag. To learn more about this event, contact Heather Kirk at heather@santamonicahouse.org / (402) 558-7088.
