Dr. Shonkoff is a nationally recognized authority on early childhood development and health. He is widely known as the co-editor of the landmark report, From Neurons to Neighborhoods: The Science of Early Childhood Development. Among other roles, Dr. Shonkoff serves as Chair of the National Scientific Council on the Developing Child, a group of distinguished scholars whose mission is to apply credible science to public policy affecting young children and families.
