Africa Djawa: (Africa Rejoicing)

Good News!! ACC will be hosting our annual community event May 13, 2023 at the Warrior Theater in Westside High School.  Africa Djawa, meaning “Africa Rejoicing”, is a one of a kind, unique, festive community event designed to increase the knowledge of and cultural pride in the history, strengths and contributions of traditional and modern African cultures through a lively, colorful African performance.

Africa Djawa promises to immerse audiences in a multicultural world rarely available to them through a single cultural event. Local, national and international artists will tell stories of community, diversity, and respect, both verbally and physically, through dance and drumming performances.
