FAMILY, Inc. to Celebrate 15th Annual Give Kids a Smile Event February 4

FAMILY, Inc. (www.familyia.org) is celebrating its 15th annual Give Kids a Smile event on February 4 in conjunction with National Children’s Dental Health Month. Did you know that tooth decay is ranked #1 as the most common childhood disease, five times more common than asthma? This is why FAMILY, in collaboration with six local dental offices, hosts Give Kids a Smile event—to give kids that may not have access to dental care receive free preventative and restorative dental care.

A special thanks to BlueJay Family Dental, Broadway Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Children’s Dentistry of Council Bluffs, My Pediatric Dentist Bayliss Park, New Image Dentistry, and Omni Dental for providing services and to the numerous volunteers that make the event happen!

Approximately 100 children are pre-selected each year based on need from the Council Bluffs and Lewis Central Community School Districts and local human services organizations. A child’s smile can light up a room and FAMILY is so excited to build brighter smiles in the community!

FAMILY, Inc. is an early childhood and public health organization that provides public health education, support, and connection to resources for women, children, and families in Pottawattamie and Mills counties.
