Meet Danielle Savington, attorney for AR Solutions, Inc.
Tell us a little about your business.
I represent my client, AR Solutions (www.arsolutionsinc.com), in their litigation efforts to collect debt that has resulted from breached contracts and unpaid services rendered. Because our focus is on making our clients whole, extra attention is paid to ensuring that our client’s customers are treated with as much respect and consideration as possible.
How did you get started in the business?
I have worked as the attorney for AR Solutions, for the last six years. A colleague was looking for an attorney to partner with in this work and introduced me to the owner, Aaron Newell, and I have remained here ever since. I’m very proud of the work we do and how we do it.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?
I went into labor with my youngest child the night before the bar exam and had to leave in the middle of the second day of testing to deliver the baby. Most other challenges have seemed pretty manageable in the wake of that!
What has been your most important achievement professionally?
Establishing a reputation for being an attorney who zealously represents my clients while also maintaining ethical practices and a respectful relationship with opposing parties.
Tell us a little about your family.
I’m the mother of three sports-and-video-game-loving young adults. My husband is a high school coach, so between the four of them, there’s pretty much always an athletic event taking place. We have a couple big dogs, a cat, and if the youngest has their way, soon we’ll have a bird.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
Probably passing the bar exam even though I’d been in labor and left early. When I got notification that I’d passed, I’d given up hope and gotten a job selling electronics at Walmart. Learning that I’d passed showed me that there’s sincerely nothing I can’t accomplish.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
I’m passionate about tattoos and the artistry that goes into them. Sadly, I possess less than zero artistic talent myself, so law school seemed like a better bet.
Who inspires you?
So many amazing women! Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sandra Day O’Connor, Sonya Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan…I’m also inspired by my husband who has always been my biggest support.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Nothing is impossible. The word itself says I’m possible.” – Audrey Hepburn
If you had a theme song, what would it be?
What if I say “Blood In The Water” from the Legally Blond soundtrack…? Just kidding! It’s probably “I Fought the Law” by The Clash.
What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why?
Nebraskan’s Against Gun Violence because there needs to be a bridge between the 2nd Amendment right people have and the need to reduce access to firearms by prohibited or dangerous persons.
What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?
My favorite book remains the first “grown up” book I ever read, The Matarese Circle by Robert Ludlum. Not a particularly revelatory book, but it blew my little eleven-year-old mind and got me intrigued about fiction.
If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be?
