Thinking BIG
In 2009, Jeana Goosmann had a vision and defied the risks of starting her own firm with one lawyer and an assistant. Five years later, the team had grown to seven attorneys and eight non-attorney staff. Today nearly 50 and counting have bought into the mission. This past year the firm was named one of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Law Firms in the United States by the Law Firm 500. Goosmann’s BIG way of thinking has gone from an idea to reality.
The Expansion to Omaha
Jeana Goosmann grew up in Omaha, attending high school at Burke and law school at Creighton University. She always had the dream of opening an office in Omaha and getting back to her roots. In July of 2017, her dream became a reality and the firm expanded to Omaha to better serve their clients. They opened their location in the innovative and newly built Advent Building located in West Omaha. This is Goosmann Law’s third office location in addition to their offices located up and down the I-29 corridor in Sioux City, Iowa and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. You can find the Goosmann team everywhere, traveling between all 3 office locations and meeting wherever it is most convenient for the client.
Attorney Jeana Goosmann is a CEO’s Attorney and personally acts as general counsel to company presidents, CEOs, and corporate executives. As the Founder, CEO and Managing Partner of the Goosmann Law Firm, she knows what it takes to start a business and grow it from the ground up. Clients who work with Jeana experience a business legal partner at their side with a full service law firm able to tackle many different legal matters.
Attorney Joel Carney joined Goosmann this past year as Managing Partner of the Omaha office. Joel has over 18 years of experience as a litigation attorney practicing in Nebraska and Iowa.
Joel attended law school at Creighton University, where he first met Jeana. Carney’s background in areas of law includes creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, and litigation. Joel works closely with clients to achieve their litigation goals and helps them navigate and create strategies for every aspect of the dispute process.
Since Joel joined the team, the firm has been actively recruiting and growing in Omaha and has big plans underway in 2018. Goosmann has nearly 50 team members firm-wide with plans to continue expanding within the next 18 months.
New Office Space
The most recent expansion is taking place in their Omaha office. It comes as no surprise that the team quickly outgrew their current space in the Advent Building and started construction across the hall, tripling their current space and leaving room for additional growth for their Omaha team.
The new space will feature a modern lobby and seating area paired with a state-of-the-art coffee bar, spacious conference rooms, tall ceilings, wide hallways, large windows, innovative office and co-working spaces in addition to a large breakroom that can host firm events, meetings, seminars, and group lunches.
This has not been the first time the firm has outgrown their office spaces. The new Omaha space is the firm’s latest construction project out of three happening within a year.
