With several years in business management, Shannon Werts is now working at Standard Heating and Air Conditioning in their marketing and sales departments. She looks forward to coming to work each day and gets fulfillment out of helping grow the business as well as helping as many employees and customers as she can each day. She loves a challenge and works best under pressure, and being a woman in the construction atmosphere brings exactly that. For over 37 years, Standard Heating & Air Conditioning has been offering Omaha, Lincoln, and Western Iowa peace of mind for their heating and cooling needs.
Tell us a little about your family. – I’m unfortunately a divorced single mother with two gorgeous kids. I’m lucky to have one of each, daughter Payton and son Kaiden. They have made me who I am today. We love having fun whether it’s camping, going to the local pool, boating, traveling or just watching a movie on the couch. I’m very blessed to have them!
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – If I don’t have 18,000 errands to run, a mound of laundry to do or a house to clean I love a relaxing day by water, a fun day of sledding, a lunch date with a friend or family member…honestly, I’m easily pleased.
What are you the most proud of? – I’m proud of what my kids have become through the years. They’re very different from one another, however, they both have large caring hearts. They both make me proud often.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – I was once told, “If you don’t like it, don’t follow it.” I’ve since learned a lot from seeing and hearing
things that I don’t like.
What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish? – For many years I have had an invention idea and I would love to see if it’s worth anything one day.
If you could have a super power, what would it be? – READ MINDS! I love to make people happy. It’s unfortunate that we can’t always express ourselves or open up about our thoughts.
What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – Maybe this is modest, but I don’t believe that I have any talents?!?
Which talent would you most like to have? – I would love to be able to sing! It’s just pure beauty to me!
What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – I enjoy Augusten Burroughs Books
What is your favorite movie? – My all-time favorite is Grease
What is your favorite TV show? – If only I could find time to watch TV.
What is your favorite local restaurant? Favorite? – Ha! I LOVE FOOD! Take me anywhere.
If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be?I – Paul Walker! He is my one and only famous person crush. Beautiful!!!
