Tell us a little about your business. – I am in the business of protecting the finances of people and making them whole in the event of an unforeseen incident.

How did you get started in the business? – I was recruited by the District Office. In my prior career I helped people by focusing in on their fitness; now I get to focus on their lives and helping them out in times of crisis. I started my business because I wanted to be a woman entrepreneur who impacts the lives of others.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Getting started in a new career is always challenging but exciting at the same time. I would say the biggest challenge was starting my own business.

Tell us a little about your family. – I have two boys who are both baseball players. My oldest son plays for Millard South High School and my youngest son plays for an AAA team, so needless to say my husband and I live on the baseball field. We believe that morals and family come first.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – My husband and I are huge bicyclists. We like to ride the local trails of Omaha. I still teach cycling and kickboxing part-time as well.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I studied abroad for a year in Ireland. The experience was amazing and I had the opportunity to learn about the different cultures of the world.

What are you the most proud of? – Being a strong leader in the community.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – My awesome dance moves!

Which talent would you most like to have? – I would say singing because I’ve always been tone deaf, and it would go great with my awesome dance moves.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? – Oh this is a fun one! It would be “Brick House.”

What local non-profit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – I’m very active in my church and we are involved in a lot of community outreach.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – The last book I read with my family was The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.

What is your favorite movie? – Grease, an all-time classic. It was one of the first movies I watched growing up.

What is your favorite TV show? – Days of Our Lives.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – I enjoy a variety of cuisine. Currently I’m stuck on Foodies off of 72nd and Dodge. The food is always fresh and I love it.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Elvis Presley. I want to steal his dance moves.
