Paul Hughes’ father was in the financial business for almost 30 years and Paul saw the success he had and the enjoyment he took in his career.  He saw that he built many great long-lasting relationships with his clients and peers and knew he wanted to do this in his own career.  Paul now works for UNICO Group, Inc., which is based in Lincoln but they have several offices across Nebraska. He works out of the Omaha/Papillion office and consults with businesses on designing a cost effective  and extensive insurance program that will meet the specific needs of each individual business. This entails every aspect from property, general liability, workers comp, professional liability, business auto, machinery and equipment and cyber liability.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?
The biggest challenge I faced was moving back to Omaha. Being away from Omaha/Lincoln for almost seven years makes it tough because you are not as active in the community or industry as I was in Kansas City. It was a challenge to become more entrenched in both communities and to have your presence felt.
