NuMale Medical Center, The Experts in Men’s Health, is a leading national provider of customized, comprehensive treatment for male sexual dysfunction and enhancement with a new office in Omaha, NE.  Dr. Christopher Asandra is the founder/owner and one of the head physicians at NuMale Medical Center.

Tell us a little about your business. – We help men suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED), low testosterone (Low-T), premature ejaculation (PE) and low sex drive, utilizing a wide range of the most highly respected, FDA-approved medical treatments and therapies. We currently have six clinics throughout the country, with many more on the horizon nationwide.

How did you get started in the business? – While working as an emergency room doctor in Milwaukee, I was constantly looking into emerging medicine and seeking ways to help patients in innovative ways. In that position, I heard constant complaints about the effectiveness and side effects of existing erectile dysfunction (ED) and sexual enhancement medications. I knew there had to be a better, more therapeutic option. After extensive research, I opened the first NuMale clinic in Milwaukee, beginning with ED and low testosterone treatments. My practice quickly expanded to provide a wide selection of the most trusted treatments for sexual dysfunction as well as enhanced therapies customized for each individual patient.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – At NuMale Medical Center, we do things a little bit differently than some of our competitors. Every patient at NuMale gets a comprehensive, confidential examination and we use those results to determine the best course to pursue medically. Some in our industry have a reputation for ignoring science, and we have to fight that reputation every day.  Science lies at the foundation of everything we do at NuMale.

Tell us a little about your family. – I am blessed with two amazing parents who inspired me to become who I am.  I have a wonderful sister who is also a physician.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I try to stay physically active to keep my mind and body healthy, but I also enjoy volunteering at local animal rescues.

What are you the most proud of? – I’m really proud of the work we’re doing at NuMale. I get to put my years of training and experience to good use every day. I get to help men who are suffering from medical conditions that affect their relationships and their overall wellbeing. On top of those great pieces, NuMale is growing rapidly. I’m most proud of the growth we’re experiencing because it validates the model we’ve designed. Sound science and quality medical care come first, and I think we’ve proven that a successful business strategy and quality care don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – Respect is not a thing that comes through name, profession or money, respect is something earned through the things you do and the way you live.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Nursing. Having worked with so many wonderful nurses, I’ve seen them perform so many tasks that doctors cannot. They have a profound impact on patients and their families and are true healers.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – J Coco’s.  They have an amazing crispy roast duck that is to die for!
