Tell us a little about your business. – Most people would think ‘Oh, a bank,’ but we are more than a bank; we are a credit union.  Our objective is to help improve the financial wellbeing of our members.

How did you get started in the business? – I started at Mutual 1st Federal my senior year of high school as a part time teller.  I continued working here through school and was promoted to management in 2006.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Being promoted at the credit union at a young age I had to prove myself more.  I had to gain the respect of my new peers in management as well as among our membership.

Tell us a little about your family. – I have been married to my husband Ryan for 7 years and we have twin 3-year-olds, Londyn and Lauryn.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – When I had my twins I learned a whole new meaning of work/home balance and multi-tasking.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I love spending time with my family and friends, whether it’s playing outside with my girls or at the lake with friends.  And what girl doesn’t love a little shopping!

What are you the most proud of? – I think I am most proud of my longevity at Mutual 1st Federal.  Not many people in their 30’s can say they have been with a company for over 15 years.  I am lucky enough to say that I found something I loved doing early on in my life.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – Your team is only as strong as your weakest member.  This only helps me be a better manager.   Helping my team learn and grow is a great feeling.

Which talent would you most like to have? – I would love to be able to sing.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Event Planning.

What is your favorite TV show? – Dancing with the Stars.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – Fernando’s Café and Cantina.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Tim McGraw.
