Twenty-five years ago, Rex Anderson saw an opportunity in the carpet and upholstery cleaning business and borrowed $3000 to purchase start up equipment and business cards. The very next day Rex was selling carpet cleaning and Guaranteed Clean was born. Today, Rex’s business has grown to over 16,000 clients, they provide service 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and they clean all types of floor coverings including concrete, ceramic, vinyl, cork and rubber, to name a few.  Guaranteed Clean has a special area in its shop dedicated to Oriental Rug Cleaning which is temperature controlled for drying and can service any size rug. The company also provides Complete Water Damage Restoration Services – from extracting unwanted water, to drying the contents and structure including repairing all of the damaged areas such as drywall, insulation, trim, painting, floor coverings and even landscaping if needed to prevent  the problems from repeating themselves.

Tell me a little about your family. – I’ve been married to Corinne for 22 years, we have 3 kids Jacob 16, Trevor 14, Delaney 9 and a cute little dog named Princess (not my choice.)

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? - Enlisting in the Army when I was 18 to become an MP.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? - Nap, watch old action movies or westerns that I’ve seen multiple times and play online poker.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? - I love to read and probably spend 3 plus hours a day reading.

What are you the most proud of? - My marriage of 22 years and my three kids who are growing up quickly.

What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish? - I would like to beat Daniel Negreanu at the final table of the 2011 World Series of Poker to win the bracelet and a record setting payout of 18.45 million dollars.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? - The ability to give myself any super power I want whenever I want it!

What are your plans after retirement? - I can’t really see myself retired – I’ve always thought of it as just laying around waiting to die, but if I had time on my hands, I would likely start another business.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? - I have a knack for doing any construction or home maintenance project as professionally as the experts.  Of course my wife will tell you that I lack the speed and desire to actually complete the projects.

Which talent would you most like to have? - I would love to be able to sing and dance.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? - I have two - Business Management the Marine Corps Way and Secret Service by John Dijulius.
What is your favorite movie? - Back to School with Rodney Dangerfield

What is your favorite TV show? - 24 – We need more Jack Bauers!

What is your favorite local restaurant? - I am a fat man because I love all food, however, if I had to pick just one, I would pick the one I don’t get to very often – The Bohemian Café on 13th Street

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? - It would have to be PT Barnum – the king of the “humbug”.
