The Basement Dance & Yoga Studio is pleased to announce they held a ribbon cutting to celebrate their one-year anniversary on August 30th. The Basement is owned by Lynlee and Tom Medhi. Their goal is to provide a place where the Hip Hop Dance Culture can be expressed in an artistic, creative and respectable way. When you visit the studio, you’ll see where they had the “Pakasso” Group embellish parts of their studio with Graffiti Art.
The Basement Dance & Yoga Studio is Omaha’s ONLY exclusive Hip Hop Dance Studio nestled on the Old Main Street of Elkhorn. The studio offers hip hop and funk style dance classes along with Yoga for Brunch series for ages 3.5-Adult. The professional staff consists of Janel Scott, Dance Director and Hip Hop Choreographer with 15 years of dance instruction, Adam Hawhee, Breakdance instructor and Competitive performer and Nakita, Krumping/Hip Hop instructor. The instructors provide professional instruction along with the history of the styles of hip hop dance and culture.
