Madonna’s Omaha Campus Welcomes Dr. Jessica Fernandes as Staff Hospitalist

Jessica Fernandes, M.D., joins Madonna’s Omaha Campus (Madonna.org) as a staff hospitalist for its Madonna Rehabilitation Specialty Hospital as of Aug. 1, 2017.

Dr. Fernandes’ interests are in cardiac care and management. She is board certified in internal medicine and completed her undergraduate degree at Creighton University and her residency at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, where she served as Chief Resident in 2009, among other academic accomplishments. Originally from Kuwait, Dr. Fernandes worked for seven years at CHI Health Lakeside Hospital prior to joining Madonna Rehabilitation Specialty Hospital – Omaha Campus.

Dr. Fernandes joins Susan Ohnoutka, M.D. as staff hospitalists for Madonna Rehabilitation Specialty Hospital – Omaha Campus. Dr. Ohnoutka has interest in chronic care management and complex medical rehabilitation. She is board certified in internal medicine and completed her residency at the Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. Prior to joining Madonna, Dr. Ohnoutka served as an acute care hospitalist for 11 years.
