Shande is originally from the Bahamas, and being the oldest of six, she has always had a passion for helping others. She came to Nebraska in 2009 and graduated with a degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Nebraska Omaha. This past spring, Shande completed an Administrator in Training Program at Florence Home Healthcare. Upon a very successful completion of that program, she was named as Manager for Empower Home Care.
Empower Home Care, founded in 2014, provides non-medical in-home care for people of all ages to allow them to remain in their homes as they age or while they recover from a medical condition, surgery, or help after the birth of a baby.
