Whole Foods Market Omaha recently presented a gift of $15,500.94 to Food Bank for the Heartland to target hunger relief efforts.  The funds were raised during the months of November and December 2014, through Whole Foods Market’s Feed 4 More campaign.  Feed 4 More is an annual community food drive supported by Whole Foods Market customers who make in-store donations to assist in stocking pantries throughout our communities with non-perishable foods.  Whole Foods Market offered customers the option of donating $1, $5, $10, or rounding up their purchases with 100% of the funds being directed to the Food Bank for the Heartland (www.FoodBankHeartland.org).  This gift will allow the Food Bank to distribute enough food for approximately 45,000 meals; funds that will help greatly in assisting the 217,000 people in Nebraska and western Iowa who struggle with hunger.  Over the past three years, Whole Foods and its customers have donated $25,720 in campaigns similar to the Feed 4 More effort.
