The Western Douglas County Food Pantry has been very low on food the past couple of months and need help until area food drives begin this fall. After the WDCCC Board of Directors heard about the situation they voted to provide up to $2,000 in cash for the pantry to purchase food for the pantry shelves. Because of the generosity of the WDCCC members the funds were available in the Food Basket account. All money collected during our Food Basket Drive is kept in a separate account and 100% of the funds are used to provide “grocery products” only to the pantry, COPE and people in our communities. Thanks to all our chamber members for their cash contributions that make it possible to support these community projects!
