Pioneers Park Nature Center will host Lincoln’s first Green Team Roundtable of 2012 on Wednesday, February 8th. Green Team Roundtables are peer-to-peer networking meetings organized by WasteCap Nebraska for green teams and individuals committed to sustainable business practices. This informal lunch meeting will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Nature Center on the West end of Pioneers Park, 3201 South Coddington Avenue. Cost to attend the event is $10 or $8 for WasteCap Nebraska members, and includes a zero-waste lunch prepared by the Greta’s Gourmet.
Registration and payment must be made by noon on Monday, February 6 at www.wastecapne.org/greenteams.
Started in 2009, Green Team Roundtable meetings are facilitated by WasteCap Nebraska staff and open to business owners, managers, green team members and individuals. Meetings begin with networking and introductions, followed by presentations from WasteCap Nebraska and the host organization. Green Team Roundtables are held in Lincoln on the second Wednesday of even months, in Omaha on odd months, and in greater Nebraska on the third Wednesday of the month.
