Cross Training Center will host a Green Team Roundtable on Wednesday, July 11th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at their headquarters, 4505 South 76th Circle in Omaha.

Pre-registration and payment is required by Friday, July 6th at www.wastecapne.org/greenteams/.

Cost is $10 or $8 for WasteCap Nebraska and Green Omaha Council members.  A zero waste lunch will be prepared by Paradise Today Café.

Following a WasteCap presentation on “Zero Waste Strategies for Business”, Cross Training Center’s founder and executive director Brenda Banks will give a presentation and facility tour that speaks to the social perspective of “zero waste”.  She will share the Center’s (environmentally-friendly) model for promoting self-sufficiency by providing vocational training, life skills and job experience to those who have been homeless, incarcerated or living in poverty.

Green Team Roundtables are peer-to-peer networking meetings facilitated by WasteCap Nebraska staff and open to business owners, managers, green team members and individuals.  Meetings begin with networking and introductions, followed by presentations from WasteCap Nebraska and the host organization.
